Session musician, record label founder/owner, talent scout and singer Bonnie Guitar enjoyed a career in music that few of today’s artists will ever match in terms of duration. She started singing as a teenager in the late 1930s and was still active in music when she died in January of this year – just a few weeks short of her 96th birthday! Bonnie was a much admired individual who worked tirelessly on behalf of new talent, yet somehow she managed to sustain her own career – a career that also brought her almost a dozen more country hits from the mid-60s onwards.
