The album starts in 1974 with a speech by Yasser Arafat before the UN counsil, it’s also the year i was born. The theme of the album is the Middle East and various other stories and subjects related to it. It’s a sound documentary with a protestor attitude about 40 years of television and internet i watched about a region of the world where a lot happened but nothing much has changed. About wars and conflicts but also beauty, music and art. One of the tracks is to support a ‘’friend’’ in trouble. The title track ‘’Offensive Defiant Disorder is about Gaza children developing Oppositional Defiant Disorder which is a behaviour disorder one might explain as anarchy or punk mentality and where i derived the bandname from. The sounds and instruments used are mainly Arabic but the music made with them is not. It’s a mix of various styles but like my last project which is KRAFT – Harvest of despair, it has no real specific genre. Percussion, electro acoustic, musique concrete, drum ‘n ‘bass, even a little jazz and metal … I could call it experimental Death ‘n ‘dub or file it under uneasy listening. 90% of all sounds is recorded live and are mostly first takes as they often prove to be the best and capture the feeling and intention the most. It’s a pretty high energy roadtrip and it has a lot of sound layers which makes it difficult to mix and master. I decided to do it all myself for the first time because i wanted to hear everything i put in it. It’s best played a little louder than one usually would and some might like to use headphones. I sincerely hope the listener enjoys it as much as it was to make. Even if it’s just one person. Quote: ‘The whole music is politically influenced before a sound is made’, unquote.
