Designed to adjust the size of the hatch in the hive, protect bee nests from mice and close the hatch when transporting hives with bees. The hatch barrier is made of plastic, serves to limit the size of the hatch and prevents mice from entering the hive in the autumn-winter period. This design consists of a latch (right) and a base. The base has cutouts for the passage of bees. It is nailed or screwed to the hatch. The latch slides along the base, blocking the passage, while ventilation occurs through the slots in the latch.
