The original track, which has been on the European top charts for weeks, now has over 22 million listens on Spotify. Dani Klein, singer of Vaya Con Dios, revisits this hit in an intimate and warm piano-vocal version. The track is part of Vaya Con Dios' upcoming album, which includes all the band's greatest songs rearranged in piano-vocals. Release on 28 October. The name Vaya Con Dios had been high on our wish list since the start of this Collection project. However, word on the street was that Dani Klein had decided her singing days were over, and that she was enjoying that decision very much. Then Covid arrived and came with a pack of rules and regulations that applied to all. “Just when I was getting fed up with it, that’s when Kenny Gates called to tell me about his collection project”, Dani tells us. “Being allowed to only see two other people at that time, the vocal/piano set up was in fact perfect and excellent to kill the boredom.” Dani Klein knows what Dani Klein wants, so this recording was only ever going to happen with her friend and exceptional pianist William Lecomte who has been accompanying her live on tour for more than a decade. “I called him, he immediately said ‘yes’ and started to write out arrangements, we rehearsed for a couple of days and then recorded these twelve songs that are very close to my heart.”
